Mina organised for some of her closest family and friends to join her at Mere Brook on the weekend of the marriage of her son Paul to Lucy – as a pre wedding celebration she organised a meal here on the evening prior to the wedding. |

Oak Lounge
The panelling in the oak lounge came from John Mc Gibbon’s consulting rooms in Rodney Street, Liverpool (where he had originally had it installed when saved from a Hertfordshire house being demolished). Sotheby’s date part of it from around 1650. A hatch can be seen within the panels trough which the medicines used to be dispensed to patients.
The oak lounge is a wonderful place to relax and read the papers or have a drink whilst seated on one of its three large sofas. Equally it would provide an excellent environment for guests wanting to discuss confidential business matters. |
