Mere Brook House
Mere Brook House is an imposing Edwardian country house on the Wirral. It offers high class bed and breakfast accommodation in eight bedrooms and has facilities for events, such as celebrations and business meetings.
The house is situated in its own grounds extending to almost four acres that include a beautiful garden with sunken dell sheltered by mature trees, paddocks and a woodland area beyond that runs down to the Mere Brook.
Mere Brook House is owned by Lorna and Donald Tyson. Mere Brook House has eight en-suite bedrooms and superb facilities for celebrations and business meetings. The 5 Star Gold bed and breakfast is situated on the edge of the picturesque village of Thornton Hough, nestled between the famous cities of Liverpool and Chester. This makes it an ideal base for exploring both cities, as well as visiting the many attractions on the Wirral.
Whether you're staying on the Wirral for business, a special occasion, a relaxing break in a home from home, or golf and outdoor activities, we offer a warm welcome, with comfortable and luxurious surroundings in which to relax. We are very well placed for guests attending the popular wedding venues Thornton Manor & Thornton Hall Hotel, as they are both about one mile from us. Mere Brook House is situated just over a mile from junction 4 of the M53, making it an accessible business meeting venue from all parts of the Wirral, Liverpool and Chester. We are also the closest accommodation to Clatterbridge Hospital, so patients receiving treatment there, or their visitors, have only one mile to travel from Mere Brook to the hospital. See here for our special rates.
Mere Brook House hosts a themed event night each month, anybody is welcome to come along, just contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more information or to book tickets.
Thornton Hough village is home of the internationally known dentist Ian Buckle, who runs “The Dawson Academy delivering BD Seminars”, and so we regularly have dentists from the UK and abroad staying with us to attend his courses. All rooms throughout the house and coach house have access to hard wired broadband in addition to a wireless system. Children of all ages are very welcome and we can provide comfortable additional beds in each of our rooms. Unfortunately we cannot accept pets as we wish to accommodate people who may suffer with allergies. We have ample and free parking on site.
